Valentine's for the Gents

I'm not sure what dunderhead decided that Valentine's should just be given to the ladies. Uh, relationships consist of two people, yes?! But what I do understand is that its hard to find the right gifts for the guys (and we all know they're thinking the same of us!). Here are some things that I think are great little gifts that your man might light- all because I know mine would!

Winter Working Out

I feel this is an appropriate time to talk about working out, as I last blogged all about my love of food! All of these are things I love for working out! I chose bright colors because it is SO dark here, always! In fact, I was so confused as to how to get to the gym the other day even though I've been there many times. I realized it was because it was the first time I had been there while it was light out. Pathetic. Bright colors make me very happy.... Making working out tolerable it takes some effort. I think some cheery new gear always does the trick.

The water bottle is so fabulous. Made of glass, but covered in a removable silicone case to protect it. I also struggle with being a good water drinker. When I try and hydrate pre-workout, putting some raspberry Emergen-C definitely helps.
I also can't work out unless I'm chewing gum.

And now I'm off to the gym! Really.

Shit that gets you through winter

Pardon the French... but I'm so tired of looking at stupid magazines that live in silly warm climates during winter and try instructing the rest of the world how to dress for winter. Please. It is -10 out and I am in no way ever going to wear flats with bare, exposed skin.

So if you are wondering what I wear almost daily... These are the essentials I have that I wear frequently just running about, commissary, library, Target... etc.

These are items I either genuinely do have, or a very similar replacement. Except the LV bag... that's a dream still waiting to happen. This is the real stuff that gets you through the chill

I wear that Forever scarf and gloves almost daily, and it never fails to not get complimented. $12 well spent.

Have you ever seen one of those little memes from from Hyperbole and a Half? The kind with the crazy girl figure saying "Pin ALL the things!" etc.? Well, today I feel that way. But about shoes. I need all the shoes! Particularly from Lulus today. If I could wear a platform everyday, I would.

Working in Bridal the name Lela Rose is very familiar to me. But I was oh so surprised when I saw that Lela Rose is now designing adorable shoesies for none other than Payless. Adorbs, right?

{Fashion}

I adore clothes. My room is literally overflowing with clothes. I wish my blog could be a little more centered on fashion sometimes. I wish I could show you all of my favorite outfits. But it's always hard to take photos of myself...and it makes me feel extremely narcissistic. But today I was happy to have a friend today take photos of me. My outfit was not that exciting... but completely perfect for the day. This weekend was Elfest in Spokane. Such a fun, indie, hipster- food, music and art collaboration filling Browne's Addition. I loved it.

Hooray for highwaisted double button shorts! Hooray for Ray Ban's! Hooray for Moustache stickers! Hooray for red lipstick! Hooray for feather necklaces!

{Coral Pant}

In my quest to conquer color I have fallen madly in love the coral. It's a deep, passionate love that is wholeheartedly and sickeningly insatiable. Does it come in coral? Then, yes, yes I will get it. Me and color get along just fine these days. Right now I'm lusting a pair of coral skimmers, or a coral cigarette pant. Think of all the glorious outfits that could be created.

{Clothes and Bangs and Messes}

I can never make up my mind about bangs. I love them, so I cut them. Then I cut them and then I hate them. It's a viscious cycle. But alas, here they are again, gracing my forehead.

So these are some latest outifts that I'm loving. I love clothes. Seriously, I get myself in way too much trouble because any spare (and sometimes not-so-spare) dollar I have goes to clothes.

And as far as the messes.... just ignore the background in these photos. They're all ugly. Thanks.

[Finding my Color}

Take that, Color! I can do this! I would like to note that this sweater also came in white and navy... and I chose this deep coral orange. And guess what! I absolutely adore it!! Also note that I feel like a big nerd for posting photos of myself. On the other hand, I think it's a good thing to do. I like knowing what the people look like when I read their blogs.
