With such a big move and life changes I can start new. Any way I want. I can be anyone that I want to be.

But I think I'm in a rut.

For the past year I've been slaving away at school. Daily dealing with all that an awful deployment brings. And then there was planning our wedding. Oh, and moving.

So I got here, and was, like, "Yay! Free time!" And now I'm all like "wha?".

Seriously. I don't have a job. Or school. Or friends. And the break is really nice and needed! But, I feel all weird and I don't know how to describe it.

I don't know what to do.

I'm not bored. I'm a strong believer in the saying "only boring people get bored." I think it's true. I have plenty to do. But I don't know what do to.

I'm stuck in a rut with my style. It's just so cold! I just wear warm coats and scarves and the same boots every day. Everything is the same.
I don't know how to decorate my apartment because I really hate the color of the walls. It's actually a pretty tan, but, all my "vintage" things makes it look so old and stuffy in here. Ahhh.

Basically, I don't know what's going on. BUT. I'm super happy. And that, is a wonderful, wonderful feeling that I don't take for granted.

My thoughts to change this:
finding a new church & finding community
learning about my camera and how to take better photos
see where school application leads to
contemplating opening an Etsy
Get a new tattoo. A big one.
A new piercing
change of hair color
workout more
find inspiration and glean from it (not just staring at in on a computer screen)

I found her blog today and was so inspired. What talent!

What do you do when you need a change?

  1. Sounds like you are on the right track! So many wives who have to make the move like you did have had the SAME experience. Mine was similar, only I was in college 800 miles away, I went to school to be closer to my boyfriend and then we broke up within months of me being there. I felt totally lost and alone. Years later, I see it was the best thing that ever happened to me! I had to become so much more independent. Developed a love for cooking, writing, reading, and started working on my art skills again. I made some of the best friends ever. When I get in a rut now, I try and remember what did I do when I was 8 or 10 years old? That untainted of the world self who had big dreams...and I start to work on them again! I'm sure you'll make boots and coats very fashionable in layers dear! Good luck and can't wait to see how you blossom in the snow!

    1. Thank you so much, Pam! That was wonderful advice that I really needed to hear! I'm glad you gained so much from the experiences!

I'd love to hear from you
