Happy Monday, friends! Was your weekend spectacular? Mine definitely was. I got to dress up and go to Spring Formal. We laughed, ate delicious dinner, sipped sparkling cider in a grand room at the Davenport, and then danced the night away at the after party.
I had to work that day, so I quickly got ready at work. I was planning to quietly slip out... but all the girls helped me finish getting ready. It's like having a bunch of sisters. My hair was super lame, even though I had grand plans for it. I had all of 15 minutes to get ready. I pinned it in a low chignon, and quickly gave up when I got a headache. Simple braid it was.

{Loon Lake}
I went to one of the happiest places on earth on Monday. The lake.
I've been realizing more and more how blessed I am to live in such a beautiful state. Washington totally rocks. I cannot fathom what it would be like to not spend summers at lakes. I live less than an hour away from probably 20 lakes. All stunningly beautiful. It has always been a goal of mine to live on a lake... and not just during the summer, but all year round. Frozen over or snowy, warm and sunny- you name it, the lake is for me. Loon Lake is particularly my favorite. It's completely crystal clean (well, pretty much all of our lakes are), warm sandy beaches, and totally private. It has such an old school cabin feel to it. I learned to swim there. I've had every birthday party there since I was 3. I've spent countless long summer days there with my brother and sister. It's the perfect place to be.
Plus I got an awesome new camera for my birthday... and it was fun to take pictures! :)
